i have a few flat spots with my rev range, and i seem to be using my fuel quickly for a diesel. i had the same symptoms when i owned a Nissan S14, i changed the Air mass meter and problem solved, does anyone know where i can get a cheap but decent AMM and are they easy to change on the 320d?
I don't know if the symptoms will come back or not but the cleaner cost me a fiver from the local carcare shop and seems to have done the trick for now ( it would seem the sensor part of the component get dirty and don't send the correct info regarding airflow to the cars main management system, which inturn plays havoc with the air/fuel

So i kept looking and decided to replace the mass air flow sensor because that seemed like a plausible failure for a 110k mile car. Still nothing happened.
