After using a 24-70 2.8, 5 years for event shooting I never used it for general purpose shooting. I never felt the zoom range was long enough. A few post up in this thread I posted last year what LensTip said about the 24-105 L II. Its a very good GP lens . So the Original Poster has gone with the Canon f4 24 to 105L ii over the Canon f4 24 to 70L. The Canon RF 24-105mm f/4-7.1 IS STM is a very capable lens, a real Swiss Army knife. Its expansive focal range is extremely versatile, and it's capable at everything from portraits to close-ups – and super close-ups, too, as Its Center Focus Macro mode facilitates 0.5x shooting at 13cm when shooting at 24mm with manual focus.
The Canon EF 24-105mm f/4L IS II USM is a solid upgrade to its predecessor, a lens with some flaws that prevented us from enthusiastically recommending it when we reviewed it.

One reviewer say it carries - "Gear: canon r6 with 24-70 2.8 lens, and extra 50mm 1.2 plus adapter" Your gear wil leasily fit. Edit: I did a bit of re-arranging of the divider and 5L actually fits the R w 24-105 L and 50 1.8 easier once I got everyting oriented correctly. So either one will work, but the 6L should give you a bit of extra room.

That being said, there were some favorites when simply flipping between images. For example, the Canon 24-70mm f/2.8 Mark II seemed to stand out a bit overall. It appeared crisper
Just this morning, before seeing your graphs, I superimposed these same graphs for the GM 24-70mm f2.8 and the new FE 24-105mm f4. I was considering the 24-105 for traveling. After reviewing the charts, I decided to stick with the GM lens and just crop files at the long end.

I love using my EF 24-105 f/4 L adapted to my Canon R6 just as much as I like using it on my 1D X Mark II. Especially if the 18-55mm is the only zoom you have, you’re going to love the 24-105. The AF on the 24-105 is even better on the R6 even though it’s adapted.
The Canon RF 24-105mm f4L IS USM is a general-purpose zoom lens for Canon’s EOS R full-frame mirrorless system. It’s one of the first four RF lenses that launched the system and will only work on EOS R bodies. The 4.4x optical zoom delivers a popular range that takes you from wide-angle to short telephoto, with a constant f4 focal ratio. V1v5.
